Description

The Scottish FA is looking for a Head of Marketing, Content and Digital Innovation to develop and implement a robust marketing, content and digital strategy to protect, and enhance the reputation of the Association, whilst also unlocking commercial and ticketing revenue for the Scottish FA.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, this is a critical, senior role, within the Association, joining at an exciting time for both our National Teams and continued development of the grassroots game.

The ideal candidate will be a high calibre, experienced marketing leader with a track record of developing a high performance department and unlocking incremental new revenues.

This role exists in a fast paced sector, and will require a high degree of flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, and manage the Marketing & Digital Teams creating a culturally unified environment which fosters people success
In conjunction with the Commercial Director, devise and execute a clear Marketing Plan that helps grow the attendances, revenues and reputation of the Scottish FA
Devise and implement a clear plan, with milestones around our digital transformation journey
Be the lead point for external agencies who we utilise and engage with to amplify our marketing efforts
Identify key digital trends and opportunities that help elevate our online presence
Implement Search Engine Optimisation and Search Engine Marketing strategies to increase website traffic and visibility
Provide Insight and recommendations based on data analysis to support our commercial campaigns
Hold budgetary responsibility for the marketing and digital Team
Own and manage a content calendar, whereby we leverage Talent (ex-players, managers) to help amplify Scottish FA and entice new commercial partners and sponsors
Play a part in devising Ticket pricing and fan experiences for all SMNT & SWNT games
Work cross-functionally to ensure appropriate marketing materials are available for all necessary departments internally (Referees/ Football Dept / Governance)
Build, and maintain relationships with Marketing counterparts across the other home nations, ensuring we share best practice, and leverage new learning
Govern the Scottish FA brand, ensuring its used with the correct brand guidelines (internally and externally) and used only to positively enhance the reputation of the association

Any other duties commensurate with the role and as directed by the Commercial Director

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Experience in senior Marketing roles with tangible and measurable success
Extensive experience collaborating with different and varied stakeholders at different levels
Direct people management experience
Sound experience managing projects from inception to conclusion
Extensive Budget / P&L responsibility experience
Experience in digital marketing and sound experience within a B2B & B2C Marketing role
Experience of devising and executing Strategic plans
Understanding and appreciation of marketing trends
Sound understanding of Web 3, metaverse & AI
